73 viewsYou won't get this unless you are German. I suppose this was supposed to mean 'Liebeshof' (Hof of Love, hof being a kind of pubs) but due to the grammatical error in the pub's name, its name translates to Love Hof.

Rocks53 viewsThere were many beautiful rocks right on the beach in Hajodae which you could easily climb and sit on.

Boring Downtown Pic81 viewsJust a pic of downtown Seoul, around the Inn I was staying at last year (Inn Daewon - fantastic and cheap place!). I love the area because it had many cheap restaurants and the biggest bookstore in Korea a few minutes away from my inn. :D The area is called Gwangwhamun.

Gay Ahjussis!76 viewsThis is probably my favourite pic I took in Korea, if only because it is so bizarre/puzzling and because it probably is a rare snapshot. These two men were presumably drunk, Korean and middle-aged, but what makes the pic special is that they were holding fucking HANDS at midnight on the streets of Gwanghwamun. Whether they were gay or whether this is some... very unique aspect of Korean culture remains shrouded in mystery.

60 viewsOne of my favourite pics and a great explanation of why I am so drawn in Korea. Only in Korea is the contrast between thousands of years of Asian culture and tradition and high-tech so apparant as in Korea, and it is only in Korea that for some reason, they manage to co-exist peacefully.

Work-shop books33 viewsThe books the children had to work with were full of puzzles and stickers and were made up like your typical children's work-shop books in the West. The children spent approximately 2 hours (with breaks) working on them, separated into 2 groups, one led by Sung Ryong and the other by the pastor's wife.

My birthday card and cake95 viewsDecember 19th was my 20th birthday. My friends in Korea wrote me a card, and my teacher bought me a small Tiramisu cake (in Korea, cakes aren't usually much bigger than this, so this isn't an unusually small cake by Korean standards). I was very happy to receive the card. :)Mar 05, 2008
